  • The Credits

The Credits is Heritage Mississauga's annual event, which honours members of the Mississauga community for their contributions and achievements with a celebration of our community heritage. Heritage Mississauga has recognized “Heritage Heroes” in the community for over 23 years, presenting the Credits gala for the last seven.

As the world struggles with the challenges and uncertainty that COVID-19 has presented, we hope that you, your family and employees are staying safe and well. This is an unprecedented time in our history.

Our communities are in isolation; events and programs that bring us together in celebration and in support of important causes have been postponed or cancelled. This pandemic has had a devastating impact on our community, putting life as we know it on hold in an effort to break the cycle of the virus.

The well-being of our community and stakeholders is uppermost in our minds at this time. In support of the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Heritage Mississauga has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel The Credits 2020.

On behalf of the Heritage Mississauga Board of Directors and The Credits organizing committee we thank you for your support of The Credits, that honours our community Heritage Heroes. We look forward to celebrating with you in 2021.

Thank you, stay safe, stay healthy.

    Luz del Rosario
    Chair, The Credits 2020

The Credits gala is the major fundraiser for Heritage Mississauga. Funds raised are used to sustain the Heritage Resource Centre that the organization operates at The Robinson-Adamson House, The Grange (charitable registration no: 11924 5660 RR0001). From this location, we provide diverse cultural programs in celebration of heritage in the community. These are vital to instill a sense of pride and place and to ensure that all heritage is recorded, preserved and celebrated in recognition for those that have come before and to inform those who are yet to arrive.

  • Mississauga's Heritage Source

Heritage Mississauga, also known as the Mississauga Heritage Foundation was founded in 1960, by a small group of volunteers. Known then as the Toronto Township Historical Foundation, this charitable organization supported the move of the Bradley House to its present location and worked to open the home as the area’s first Museum.

In 1994 the City of Mississauga officially took over the running of the Museum Complex and Heritage Mississauga took on the role as the only independent organization devoted to city-wide heritage matters.

From its offices at "The Grange", the historic Robinson-Adamson House (1921 Dundas Street West, Mississauga), Heritage Mississauga provides the community with a comprehensive Heritage Resource Centre. The Centre offers a number of services to the community including:

    • Heritage Research & Publications

    • Research Assistance

Our shared heritage is an important element in fostering and maintaining Mississauga’s sense of community, pride and history. Together with the support of community groups, corporations and individuals, Heritage Mississauga will continue to accept the challenge of promoting awareness of the community’s most precious non-renewable resource.
