Heritage Mississauga

The Credits 2026
The Credits is Heritage Mississauga’s annual signature event honouring members of the Mississauga community for their outstanding contributions and achievements. For more than 25 years, Heritage Mississauga has recognized “Heritage Heroes” whose dedication, leadership, and community spirit help shape our city’s story. For the past 14 years, this celebration has taken the form of The Credits gala.
WHEN
Thursday November 5, 2026
Registration: 5:00pm
Program Begins (Dinner & Awards): 6:00pm
WHERE

THEME
Jane Austen, Bridgerton & Regency Romance
Dearest gentle reader…
You are cordially invited into the world of sweeping estates, candlelit ballrooms, handwritten invitations, whispered intrigue, and moonlit promenades. Inspired by the timeless elegance of Jane Austen on screen and the glamour of Bridgerton, this year’s theme celebrates the refinement, romance, and social spectacle of the Regency era.
Yet this is more than fiction. The Regency period coincides with the War of 1812, a defining chapter in Mississauga’s early history. Through our living history group, Thompson’s Company, this important era is brought vividly to life for contemporary audiences across the province.
Join us for an evening where high society meets local history — and where the true “diamonds” of our community take centre stage.”

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
The Credits gala is the major fundraiser for Heritage Mississauga. Funds raised are used to sustain the Heritage Resource Centre that the organization operates at The Robinson-Adamson House, The Grange (charitable registration no: 11924 5660 RR0001). From this location, we provide diverse cultural programs in celebration of heritage in the community. These are vital to instill a sense of pride and place and to ensure that all heritage is recorded, preserved and celebrated in recognition for those that have come before and to inform those who are yet to arrive.

Mississauga's Heritage Source
Heritage Mississauga, also known as the Mississauga Heritage Foundation was founded in 1960, by a small group of volunteers. Known then as the Toronto Township Historical Foundation, this charitable organization supported the move of the Bradley House to its present location and worked to open the home as the area’s first Museum.
In 1994 the City of Mississauga officially took over the running of the Museum Complex and Heritage Mississauga took on the role as the only independent organization devoted to city-wide heritage matters. From its offices at "The Grange", the historic Robinson-Adamson House (1921 Dundas Street West, Mississauga), Heritage Mississauga provides the community with a comprehensive Heritage Resource Centre. The Centre offers a number of services to the community including:
Heritage Research & Publications
Research Assistance
Outreach Presentations
Heritage Resource Centre Library
Publications
Heritage and Art Exhibits
Guided and Self-Guided Heritage Tours
Heritage Events
Oral History Interviews
Quarterly “Heritage News” Newsletter
Heritage Network & Community Partners
